Requirements to Participate in the TAG Business Launch Competition

Our 2012 Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) business launch competition aims to support the growth of Georgia-based companies in Internet technologies. Requirements to participate in the TAG business launch competition include submitting entry materials, final proposals and meeting the eligibility requirements of the competition.

Entry Materials

Initial entry materials include a brief proposal and business summary, a completed questionnaire, and a signed terms and conditions document. These documents are due on February 24, 2012, and the proposals will help to assign business mentors to competitors.

Final Proposal

The final proposal and application, including executive summary and a detailed pitch proposal, is due March 23, 2012. A detailed business plan will not be required this year as in previous years of the competition.

Eligibility Requirements

Entrants to the TAG business launch competition must reside within the state of Georgia. Additionally, awards are based on the condition that the company will launch in Georgia or will continue operations within Georgia. Although the competition is geared toward new business, existing business with limited functionality may be eligible to compete.

The 2012 TAG business launch competition will not only foster an awareness of Internet technology businesses in Georgia and support a winning business with $400,000 in cash and prizes, but it will also help in connecting IT professionals from all over the state. The TAG business launch is a complement to TAG’s other work including awards competitions like the Excalibur Awards, the Tag Education Collaborative, and each TAG society that is sponsored by our TAG umbrella organization.
