How Can a Community Techology Center Help you?

TAG, the Technology Association of Georgia, offers a unique networking approach to community technology. The community unites individuals across disciplines who are interested in technology.

As technology changes, the reality is that communities must keep up with those changes if they want to remain relevant. However, at the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), we understand that technological innovation certainly is not easy for many communities. Although schools, community centers and nonprofit organizations are under tremendous pressure to develop their technological resources in order benefit the people they serve, many of these organizations are understaffed or staffed by overworked employees and volunteers who would sincerely love to foster technological growth within their communities but who simply lack the time and resources. What if there was another way? What if there were ways of connecting IT professionals through a nonprofit networking organization -- a community technology center where community members could come together to ask questions and learn how technology impacts their communities.

At TAG, we think that "another way" for community technology growth does exist, and we've worked to develop it in Georgia. Our community technology network consists of IT professionals, businesspeople, educators and other community members who want to work together to learn about technological innovation and how it can be harnessed by local schools, businesses and nonprofit organizations to create a community that continues to innovate and grow technologically. Our community members look forward to the unique ideas and helpful information they learn through TAG education.

At TAG, we firmly believe that every community can benefit from a nonprofit networking organization like TAG. From discussing how technology can grow a struggling economy to how it can benefit struggling students.
