Impact of the Excalibur Awards and the Georgia technology summit in the technology community

Ever since TAG, the Technology Association of Georgia, was founded in 1997, our mission has been to bring together the best minds of the tech industry in our state. Through various educational programs, networking events and other events, TAG has grown to a membership of more than 13,000. Additionally, TAG serves as the umbrella organization for 30 industry societies, all dedicated to moving the tech industry in Georgia forward. One of the most powerful events held in the tech industry by TAG is the Georgia Technology Summit. The summit brings the technology community together by holding the largest gathering of C-level executives (CIO, CTO and CEO), academia and more to celebrate technological innovation in the state. This summit sets the standard for technology work in the field and helps people within the community network with each other.

In addition to the summit, TAG also hosts the Excalibur Awards each year. The Excalibur Awards works in collaboration with our Business and Technology Alliance society. The purpose of the awards is to recognize those using technology in the most innovative ways to solve business problems. Through IT professional discussions and other networking programs, we discover the companies that are using technology in the best ways possible to grow and solve business issues. These companies do not invent technology, but rather use it to their advantage.

Both the awards and the summit have a huge impact on the tech industry in Georgia as they help recognize those who are moving the tech industry forward. Those individuals and companies involved in the awards and summit are given radio and television interviews, articles in papers and magazines and shown to be the brightest and most tech-friendly in the state.
